One of EIT's first three KICs to cover 'sustainable energy'

The EIT Regulation contained the suggestion that 'renewable energy' be one of the first three topics to be covered by KICs. 'Sustainable energy' is much broader.
The European Commission has published on 3rd September a number of calls for proposals under the specific programmes “Cooperation” and “Capacities” of the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). Both the DG RTD and DG TREN “ENERGY” calls were published without changes compare to what we expected.

"Solarvalley Mitteldeutschland" - the name given to the German PV community's bid in the Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung's 'Spitzencluster' competition - is one of five winners, it was annouced today.
