Participate in the Cross-cutting Panel of the RHC-ETP PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 10 August 2009
In the second half of 2008 the European Commission endorsed the enlargement of the European Solar Thermal Technology Platform (ESTTP) – jointly managed by ESTIF, EUREC Agency and the German company PSE – to include the entire range of renewable energy technologies for heating and cooling. The new European Technology Platform on Renewable Heating & Cooling (RHC-ETP) brings together stakeholders from the biomass, geothermal, solar thermal and related fields, to define a common strategy for increasing the use of renewable energy technologies in the heating and cooling sector.

The RHC-ETP Cross-Cutting Panel aims at discussing and presenting research priorities which are common to the three sectoral panels (solar thermal, biomass, and geothermal).
The content and structure of this panel will be discussed and finalised at its kick-off meeting, which is going to take place on 4 September 2009 in Brussels (indicative timetable: 10.00- 16.30).

The following Focus Groups are proposed:

• District Heating and Cooling from renewable energy sources
• Thermal energy storage
• Renewable energy technologies’ integration in buildings
• Renewable heating and cooling in industrial processes
• Renewable energy hybrid systems

EUREC Members as well as any other stakeholders interested in participating in the Cross-cutting Panel of the RHC-ETP are kindly invited to attend its kick-off meeting.
