EUREC Agency is the initiator and coordinating agency of the postgraduate programme "European Master in Renewable Energy". The European Master in RE is directed towards engineers that want to specialise in one of the renewable energy technologies, such as wind energy, biomass energy, photovoltaics, solar building technology or hybrid systems. The course has been set up to satisfy the growing industry demand for renewable energy engineers and is operated in close cooperation with renewables companies.

The programme is run by a network of 7 European universities and research centres leading in renewable energy RD&D. Students follow this 16 months programme at three different locations inside of Europe. Education is divided into a "core" part providing understanding of the whole range of RE technologies, followed by a "specialisation" at another university where the student goes into depth in the technology of his choice. The remaining 5 months are spent on the premises of a company or research centre where the student carries out his personal practical or research project.
