The Central Europe Energy Partners (CEEP), in association with the Directorate-General for Energy of the European Commission, organises the 1st Central European Day of Energy (CEDE) which will take place on 9th December, 2016, in the premises of the European Commission (Berlaymont building) in Brussels.
The 1st edition of this project is supported by the International Visegrad Fund and organized in cooperation with partners from the Central European ("CE”) region and V4 Countries:
- the Institute for Politics and Society (IPS) from the Czech Republic
- the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade (IFAT) from Hungary
- the Center for Social and Economic Research (CASE) from Poland
- the Research Center of the Slovak Foreign Policy Association (RC SFPA) from the Slovak Republic
- the Ukrainian Centre for Economic and Political Studies (Razumkov Centre) from Ukraine
The essential goal of the CEDE initiative is to provide comprehensive information concerning the Central European (CE) energy sectors, taking into account the specific needs of energy companies in the CE region. We aim to establish an open platform for useful networking between the European institutions and the top representatives and stakeholders of the energy sector. This initiative gives an exceptional opportunity to voice their concerns and interests on key energy issues that have an impact on Central Europe.
The key benefits for attendees will include information concerning: approaching and dealing with the most important issues related to CE’s (and V4 countries) energy sectors and a thorough review of the major energy issues in CE. The main scope of the discussions will focus on gas and electricity infrastructural needs, especially in relation to North-South Interconnections in the CE region, and linking the EU with Eastern countries, such as Ukraine.
