FP7 mid-term review

In its reply to the Commission's consultation of the mid-term review of FP7, EUREC Agency pointed out the following main messages:

• Projects with a narrower scope, involving a small number of partners can produce results that continue to be useful long after the project has ended
• The Framework Programme’s key strength is that it is the best available mechanism for organising cross-border collaborative R&D. European co-operation between researchers should remain the core of this and future Framework Programmes
• The Commission should differentiate better between industry-led collaborative R&D projects and research centre-led R&D collaborative R&D projects
